MNC Media Appreciates Nine Heroes of Indonesia

JAKARTA - MNC Media appreciated nine of Pahlawan untuk Indonesia (Heroes to Indonesia) for their hard work that provide a positive impact for the people of Indonesia.

Nine Heroes to Indonesia have been through a rigorous selection from internal juries consisting of Chief Editor of the media under MNC Media. They also have to pass an assessment of the external jury consisting of professionals and academics from various fields.

They are the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education M Natsir, Rector of Paramadina University Firmanzah, and Technology Specialists Betti Alisjahbana.

The selection process also involved the honorary judges which are the Former Chairman of the Constitutional Court (MK) Mahfud MD and CEO of MNC Group Hary Tanoesoedibjo (HT).

"This program is aimed to appreciate people with their limitations but still able to help other people," said HT in MNC News Center, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (11/10).

"It can inspire people that we should not be selfish and need to do good for others. If this can be realized, Indonesia would be much better," he added.

Those who achieved the awards, namely Robeka Rumainum (Environment category); the founder of Griya Cinta Kasih, Jamiin (Health Category), Educator of the blind, Kuswanto Nurhadi (education category), Aiptu Naniek Yuliati (public service), the Athlete Coach of Mentally Disabled, Marini (sports category); founder of the cooperative, Wa Ode Sabaria (entrepreneurship category); Ady Indra Pawennani (technological innovation category), farmers' rights activist, Eva Susanti Bande (categories of law and justice) and Afrida Ngato (culture category).
