As Southeast Asia's largest and most integrated media group, PT Global Mediacom Tbk ('BMTR' or 'the Company') holds the country’s most extensive media portfolio. BMTR offers Free-To-Air (FTA) television, PayTV and multimedia content, as well as online portals, newspapers, magazines, radio and broadband Internet services. The Company also owns media-related businesses that support its core focus, such as talent management and advertising agencies.
The Company’s two main lines of business serve as main contributors to revenue. Content and advertising-based media, which is managed by PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN), currently generates 63% of Company revenues. On the other hand, the Company subscription-based media, PT Sky Vision Networks presently contributes 29% of Company revenues.
MNCN manages four (4) national FTA TV stations: RCTI, MNCTV, GTV and iNews. MNCN also has a portfolio of MNC branded Pay-TV channels. Meanwhile, the Pay-TV services namely MNC Vision, MNC Play and MNC Now which are established leaders in Indonesia’s Pay-TV sector. PT Infokom Elektrindo (Infokom) manages BMTR’s media support and infrastructure business.
BMTR also holds growing businesses in Online Media. These include the leading online news and entertainment portal Okezone.com, fashion e-commerce company The F Thing, video sharing website Metube.id, online travel company Mister Aladin and the 24-hour TV Home Shopping service on MNC Vision and MNC Now. These developing businesses have a combined yield amounting to 8% of Company revenues.
Established on June 30, 1981, the Company initially operated as a conglomerate engaged in the general trading sector. Following several acquisitions and divestitures, the Company shifted its focus to the media industry. In 2007, the Company’s re-branding into PT Global Mediacom Tbk solidified this new direction.
A publicly-listed company since 1995, Its shares are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) under ticker code BMTR.
