• Present at Executive Media Connect, Coordinating Minister Airlangga Hartarto explained the government's big program

    IDXChannel - Coordinating Minister (Menko) for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto together with MNC Group Executive Chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo attended the Executive Media Connect event held by MNC Group at the Royal Glass House Park Hyatt, Jakarta, Monday (13/1/2025).

    When delivering his remarks, Airlangga revealed that the government had prepared a series of major programs to achieve 8 percent economic growth as targeted by President Prabowo Subianto.

    According to him, apart from the economic stimulus package which provides 10 kg rice food assistance for 16 million people, electricity tariff discounts of up to 50%, and incentives for purchasing hybrid cars, the government also provides a series of other programs to boost people's purchasing power. Airlangga also explained that the government is providing property VAT incentives, where subsidies of up to IDR 2 billion are provided.

    Apart from providing property VAT incentives, it is stated that the government will continue PPH for the MSME sector at 0.5% in 2025. Then the PPH for workers in labor-intensive sectors with salaries of up to IDR 10 million will also be borne by the government.

    Apart from that, the free nutritious meal program will also continue to be encouraged. Coordinating Minister Airlangga even said that Japan was interested in providing technical support for the program considering that the country had been implementing a similar program for 80 years.

    Coordinating Minister Airlangga also said that in 2025 Indonesia would focus on three export commodities such as coal, palm oil and nickel. According to him, these three leading commodities can continue to be boosted to improve the nation's economy.
